Direct Mail - Digital Printing Collage

PROJECT:  Direct Mail program that requires Highlight to archive and digitally print thousands of postcards each week from approximately 100 different templates and between 10 and 12 new and dfferent lists.  Mostly postcards...some letter and envelope combos. 

GOAL:  Our client  - a marketing firm - decided to close their internal print-shop in order to focus on their core business of telemarketing and appointment setting.  They needed a print provider experienced in variable data and direct mail that could ramp up quickly to take over those duties. 

PROCESS:  The important thing during the transition was to make sure there wasn't a gap in service or quality for our client's clients, while ensuring that it could continue to be a profit center for our client.  In conjunction with our client, Highlight quickly put a team together to create an error-proof process to move the work quickly, while simultaneously creating efficient work-flow procedures to keep costs down for the long haul. 

RESULTS: The transition took 2-3 weeks to get fully implemented and went very smoothly.  After 8 months of working with the client, we are proud to say that the thousands of pieces we have printed and mailed for our client have been error free.

LISA'S NOTES: This was one of those rare opportunities where a bunch of work is coming your way and you had better find a way to make it all happen...and right now!  The smoothness of the transition is really a testimony to the skill level and commitment of our staff.  One person could never manage the transition alone, it was only through the planning and work of our well skilled staff that made this happen....and continues to make this happen.  At this point, our pre-press and digital department have it pretty much down to a science, although in the interest of continuous improvement are always looking for ways to improve the process without sacrificing any quality. Go team!
